Description
Self-adhesive labels printed with reactive ink to control disinfection processes by pulse UV-C radiation dose 0 – 200 mj/cm2. DOSIMETER.
Chemdye® ChemDose CD87-200PX chemical indicator has been specially developed to control disinfection processes by pulsed UV (PX-UV) radiation.
It consists of a 15 mm diameter dot of self-adhesive synthetic substrate printed with reactive indicating ink. The reactive indicating ink has been calibrated to experience different color changes depending on the accumulated radiation dose received, allowing to quickly and accurately control the efficacy of the disinfection process.
Instructions for use
1.Peel off Chemdye® ChemDose CD87-200PX chemical indicator from the roll and stick it on the surface which level of disinfection is pretended to be controlled. Use as many indicators as surfaces intended to be verified.
NOTE 1: it is recommended to distribute Chemdye® ChemDose CD87-200PX chemical indicators uniformly along the room to be disinfected, placing at least one per square meter. It is recommended to place Chemdye® ChemDose CD87-200PX chemical indicators not higher than 2 m over the floor level.
2.Leave the room and run a normal disinfection cycle.
3.Once the process has finished, contrast the final color of each Chemdye® ChemDose CD87-200PX chemical indicator used against the Results Reference Card provided and determine the accumulated radiation dose received.
NOTE 2: the Results Reference Guide has been calibrated against a particular pulsed UV radiation source, with a particular emission spectrum. There might be differences in the final colors reached at the different acummulated radiation doses received if a different pulsed UV radiation source is used. For more detailed information please contact Terragene®.
NOTE 3: exposed and non-exposed Chemdye® ChemDose CD87-200PX chemical indicators must be kept protected from light. Non-exposed Chemdye® ChemDose CD87-200PX chemical indicators must be removed from its original packaging ONLY right before running the disinfection process.
