Description
Multi-variable Chemical Indicator, strips printed with reactive ink for Formaldehyde sterilization processes.
Chemdye® CD50 multivariable chemical indicator has been developed to react to Low Temperature Steam Formaldehyde (LTSF) sterilization processes within loads, ensuring an adequate control of the effectiveness of the sterilization processes (temperature, time and gas concentration).
Bordeaux-red ink turns to green when the process reaches the stated values of the critical process variables. Multivariable indicators allow to rapidly detect whether the values of the critical parameters of the sterilization processes for which they have been designed to respond, have been reached. Endpoint conditions: 30 minutes, 60 °C, 1 mol/l FORM. Indicators 100 % free of toxic heavy metals.
Instructions for use
1. Place a Chemdye® CD50 multivariable chemical indicator within each package, bag or tray that will be sterilized by LTSF.
2. In rigid containers place a Chemdye® CD50 multivariable chemical indicator in every corner, or at least in two diagonally opposite corners, to ensure that the sterilization agent reaches the most inaccessible areas.
3. Once the process has finished, analyze the results. Chemdye® CD50 multivariable chemical indicator must turn to the reference color for considering the indicated conditions were met.
