Description
IT26SBL / Unique Point Chemical Integrator for Steam sterilization processes between 121° C and 135° C. Two-side laminated strip.
Integron® unique point Integrator Indicators were developed for monitoring Steam sterilization processes between 121 ºC and 135 ºC, ensuring an adequate control of the effectiveness of sterilization processes (temperature, time, quality of steam).
Purple ink was developed to turn to green when a theorical spores population reaches its kill time, indicating that integration condition has been reached. This condition is calibrated with the kill time of a 106 Geobacillus stearothermophilus spore population, calculated in a BIER (Biological Indicator Evaluator Resistometer).
Instructions of use
1. Place an Integron® unique point Integrator Indicator within each package, bag or tray that will be sterilized by Steam.
2. In rigid containers place an Integron® unique point integrator indicator in every corner, or at least in two diagonally opposite corners, to ensure that steam has reached the most inaccessible areas.
3. After completing the process, analyze the results. If the ink printed on the indicator changes to the reference color printed on the product, integration condition is met and the sterilization process was successful.
