Description
Automatic Record System. Chemical Indicator, double self-adhesive labels printed with reactive ink for UV-C disinfection processes.
Chemdye® ChemDose CD83 chemical indicator has been specially developed to control disinfection processes by continuous UV-C radiation. It consists of a synthetic double self-adhesive substrate of 29 x 22.5 mm printed with reactive indicating ink.
The reactive indicating ink has been calibrated to experience different color changes depending on the accumulated radiation dose received, allowing to quickly and accurately control the efficacy of the disinfection process.
Chemdye® ChemDose CD83 chemical indicators can be used either with or without Chemdye® CG3 Labeler. Using them with Chemdye® CG3 Labeler enables not only to speed-up the process of placing the indicators onto the surfaces which level of disinfection is pretended to be controlled but to record important information related to the disinfection cycle.
Instructions for use
1. Peel off Chemdye® ChemDose CD83 chemical indicator from the roll, and stick it on the surface which level of disinfection is pretended to be controlled. Use as many indicators as surfaces intended to be verified.
NOTE 1: it is recommended to stick Chemdye® ChemDose chemical indicators onto plastic and fabric surfaces, in order to remove them easily after the disinfection process.
2. Run a normal disinfection cycle.
3. Once the process has finished, compare the final color reached by each Chemdye® ChemDose CD83 chemical indicator used against the reference color printed on the label. If the final color matches the reference color or is redder than it, it can be considered that the surface has received at least a radiation dose of 50 mJ/cm2 .
NOTE 2: exposed and non-exposed Chemdye® ChemDose CD83 chemical indicators must be kept protected from light. Non-exposed Chemdye® ChemDose CD83 chemical indicators must be removed from its original packaging ONLY right before running the disinfection process.
