Terragene participated in the 33rd edition of Ronda COCEMI, held on October 8–9, 2026, at Antel Arena in Montevideo, Uruguay, alongside its local partner, Laboratorio 메디큐.
The scientific and academic event brought together healthcare professionals for two days of knowledge sharing, professional exchange, and discussions on current challenges in healthcare. The 2026 edition featured more than 100 stands and over 15 symposia, providing a meeting point for professionals and organizations across the healthcare sector.
Advancing Hygiene Monitoring and Traceability in Rigid Containers
A highlight of Terragene’s participation was the presentation delivered by Juan Díaz, Clinical Educator at Terragene, on October 8 as part of the event’s sterilization symposium.
그의 세션, “Routine Monitoring and Hygiene Traceability in Rigid Containers,” focused on an important aspect of healthcare reprocessing: monitoring hygiene and maintaining traceability throughout processes involving rigid containers.
During the presentation, Juan also introduced 바이오노바 Q and its role in improving workflow efficiency in washing control and hygiene monitoring. Its features include automatic interpretation of results, automated recordkeeping, ease of use, and digital databases for washing control, as well as automated washer monitoring and traceability by area and operator for hygiene monitoring.

Complementing these capabilities, Bionova® Q incorporates AI-powered computer vision to automatically read chemical indicators, while Bionova® Q Agent connects directly to existing incubators to capture biological indicator results. These capabilities help eliminate manual data entry and support compliance with applicable Joint Commission and ISO requirements.
These approaches highlight the value of digital tools in streamlining routine monitoring, organizing records, and supporting process traceability in healthcare environments.
By addressing these topics, the session provided an opportunity to discuss how effective monitoring and digital solutions can contribute to quality management and infection prevention practices.
Strengthening Collaboration with Laboratorio MediQ
Terragene’s participation alongside Laboratorio MediQ highlighted the value of collaboration with local partners in bringing technical knowledge and monitoring solutions closer to healthcare professionals.
Events such as Ronda COCEMI create opportunities to exchange expertise, discuss practical challenges, and explore approaches that support quality and safety throughout healthcare processes.
Terragene thanks Laboratorio MediQ and the Ronda COCEMI organizers for the opportunity to participate, as well as the healthcare professionals who joined the event and contributed to the exchange of knowledge.
