Helix Plus Kit?
Chemdye® Helix Plus Kit is a Type 2 chemical indicator system with a reusable Process Challenge Device (PCD) designed for steam sterilization monitoring in cycles involving hollow loads and devices with narrow lumens. It helps monitor air removal and steam penetration in challenging sterilization conditions.
Hollow, complex and minimally invasive devices are increasingly common in CSSDs. Residual air, vacuum leaks and non-condensable gases can interfere with effective steam penetration, while quality and traceability requirements continue to increase.
A new experience in Helix monitoring: Helix Plus Kit brings a renewed and connected approach to steam sterilization monitoring, combining a reusable PCD, PCD-A Type 2 chemical indicators and digital traceability tools. Designed for today’s sterilization workflows. Select the PCD-A chemical indicator according to your steam sterilization cycle:
- PCD-A-3.5Y: designed for 3.5-minute cycles at 134 °C.
- PCD-A-5.3Y: designed for 5.3-minute cycles at 134 °C or 15-minute cycles at 121 °C.
- PCD-A-7.0Y: designed for 7-minute cycles at 134 °C or 20-minute cycles at 121 °C.
