On 3-4 de setembro de 2026, Terragene® and Sispack hospedado Terra Day Brasil, a two-day immersive event at Terragene’s manufacturing facility in Alvear, Santa Fé, Argentina. The event brought together end users from Brazilian healthcare institutions for plant tours, technical talks, hands-on training, and real-world case-use interviews focused on cleaning verification, hygiene monitoring, and sterilization traceability.
What Happened at Terra Day Brasil
Terra Day Brasil is Terragene’s flagship immersive format: instead of a traditional trade-show booth, attendees spend two full days at the company’s own plant — meeting the R&D and manufacturing teams, seeing production firsthand, and working directly with the technologies they use every day. For this edition, Sispack invited a group of Brazilian professionals from Central Sterile Supply Departments (CSSD) and infection control teams to experience it in person.
Day 1 — Plant Tour, and Hygiene Solutions
The first day combined company context with hands-on exposure to the plant floor:
- Visita à fábrica — a guided walkthrough of the manufacturing facility where Terragene’s indicators and monitoring devices are produced
- Technical session: Terragene Solutions for Washing and Hygiene Control — an overview of the tools available to verify and document cleaning effectiveness
- Roundtable — “The Challenges of Cleaning Supervision: One Process, Many Scenarios” — a discussion with attendees comparing how cleaning verification plays out across different hospital settings
- Hands-on session: Washing + Hygiene — attendees tested washing and hygiene monitoring solutions directly
Day 2 — Sterilization Monitoring and Digital Traceability
The second day shifted focus to sterilization monitoring and the digital tools that support it:
- Technical session: New Technologies for Sterilization Monitoring — an update on Terragene’s latest biological and chemical indicators
- Hands-on session: New Terragene Technologies and Digital Traceability — attendees worked directly with instant-read indicators and traceability software for documenting sterilization cycles
Real Stories from Brazilian End Users
As part of Terra Day Brasil, the Terratalks series captured interviews with attendees about their day-to-day experience with Terragene technologies. The full Terratalks sessions will be available in the coming weeks.
Daniella Karine Cordeiro de Barros — Unimed Recife Daniella shared why her team chose Pro1 Micro, Terragene’s Hygiene Monitoring pen system for detection and quantification of surface proteins — and how the device has changed their daily routine since adoption.
Danielle da Costa Moyses — Med Center Santos Danielle spoke about the need that led her institution to adopt an instant-read biological indicator, Photon, and how the team was trained and brought the technology into daily use.
Why Terra Day Matters
Terra Day Brasil gave Brazilian sterile processing and infection control professionals direct access to the people and processes behind the tools they use daily — from the production line to the R&D bench. For Terragene and Sispack, it’s a chance to turn technical support into a shared, hands-on experience; for attendees, it’s a rare look behind the label of the products in their department.
