Chemdye® CD20 Multivariable Indicators have been designed to react to Steam sterilization processes within loads, ensuring an adequate control of the effectiveness of sterilization processes (temperature, time and steam quality).

Chemdye® CD20 Multivariable Indicators have been manufactured with an innovative ink tecnology, highly sensitive to steam quality and air presence within the load.

The purple ink was developed to turn to green when the process reaches the stated values of the critical process variables.

Multivariable indicators allow to rapidly detect whether the critical parameters of the sterilization process for which they have been designed to respond have been reached. Endpoint conditions: 121 °C, 15 minutes // 134 °C, 3.5 minutes.

Instructions for use

- Place a Chemdye® CD20 Multivariable Indicator within each package, bag or tray that will be sterilized by steam.

- In rigid containers place the indicator in every corner, or at least two diagonally opposite corners, to ensure that the sterilization agent has reached the most inaccessible areas.

- After completing the process, analyze results. The indicator must turn to the reference color for considering that the indicated conditions were met.

Chemdye® CD29 Multivariable Process Indicators (Type 4 according to ISO 11140-1:2014 standard) are single-use chemical indicators that consist of one-side laminated punched paper double strips printed with indicator ink. These indicators have been designed to monitor Steam sterilization processes within loads, ensuring an adequate exposure to the sterilizing agent during the sterilization process and allowing to distinguish between processed and unprocessed items.

Innovative highly sensitive yellow ink was developed to turn to dark brown/black when the indicator is exposed to Steam considering the critical process variables which provides additional quality assurance. Instructions for Use

1. Place a Chemdye® CD29 Multivariable Process Indicator within each package, bag or tray that will be sterilized by Steam. In rigid containers, place the indicator in every corner, or at least two diagonally opposite corners, to ensure that the sterilization agent has reached the most inaccessible areas.

2. Perform the sterilization cycle.

3. After the sterilization process has finished, remove the indicators from the sterilizer and analyze the results. For all the chemical indicators exposed to Steam, the ink must turn to the dark brown/black reference color when the sterilization parameters are reached. Dark blue ink was developed to turn to brown when the process reaches the selected variables. Multivariable indicators allow to rapidly detect whether the critical parameters of the sterilization process for which they have been designed to respond have been reached.

Indications for use

Use Chemdye® Multivariable Indicators for monitoring Dry Heat sterilization processes. Endpoint conditions: 160 °C, 40 minutes // 180 °C, 20 minutes.

3.After the sterilization process has finished, remove the indicators from the sterilizer and analyze the results. For all the chemical indicators exposed to Plasma or Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide, the ink must turn to the green or lighter reference color when the sterilization parameters are reached.
